Aeonis

From an out of character standpoint, Aeonis can be best considered like a 'mix of Microsoft and AOL'. The company is a near-monopoly and the single most powerful ISP, but their field of expertise does not restrict itself to that. They're best-known for inventing the practicable a-life and for their internet technologies. The combination thereof is what they're most famous for: the genAesis seed.
