Vampire Apocalypse is a yet-to-be-played, human-avatared sim in the Wildcard network, tentatively placed on Verdana.

Description

By 1955, the world was living in panic. Not only was the Cold War raging between the US and Russia, but somehow, the Hungarians and the Cubans had developed nuclear bombs. The world was on edge, sure that doomsday was nigh; the Doomsday Clock was set to one minute from midnight, and fallout shelters were going up all over the globe.

And then the comet hit.

Humanity, clinging to survival, banded together, in a new peace and brotherhood; desperate to avoid extinction, the world leaders united in peace, and disarmed the remaining nuclear missiles, even shutting down nuclear power plants. With only a few hundred thousand humans across the globe, it was clear that we had the chance of a lifetime - the chance to start over and do it right.

Then the vampires came out of hiding.

With their food source threatened, the vampires began to herd us as we had done sheep, using their superior strength and speed to herd humans together and their thrall-creating hypnotic vision to keep them docile. They turned what remaining technology we had against us, using surveillance cameras in their "feed camps" to detect any movement during the day and a combination of robots and thralls to quell any daytime uprising. Humanity would survive - but would be no more free than cattle. This could not do.

Meanwhile, at the North Pole, during summer when the sun never set, a small group of scientists joined together to create Humanity's Last Hope ...
