Morgrim is an Australian player who comes with an amazing mix of creativity and a scientific outlook to hammer the realism into the creativity. Her pet plot is the Cetacean Communication Project. It is awesome. You better believe it. -pinkgothic 19:58, 7 May 2011 (CEST)
CCP Avatars (WIP)
All avatars are notable for having distinct visual markings to aid identification; to many humans all dolphins look alike and vice versa. They can be toggled off for an individual's 'natural' form if they have the override (most formal project members do).
- Standard cliffracer avatar is the default for all interactions. Both dolphin and human vocalisations can be made and the sails have slightly different markings.
- Human avatars all have stylised patterns across the face. For the natural humans they are their offline selves with the face paint. For the dolphins, they're somewhat randomised humans of the appropriate gender and rough age. Notably, they're hairless: hair getting in the way was an unfamiliar annoyance for the dolphins trying to adapt to human bodies and it was decided unnecessary.
- Dolphin avatars have coloured dorsal fin tags of distinctive shapes. Again, for the natural dolphins it's their offline form, for the humans a randomised one. While the dolphins can't distinguish the colours they have an easier time recognising via body structure and it balances out.
The opposite species avatars are custom made, non-project members are unlikely to have them unless they are frequent guests. If needed there is a small pool of generic 'loaners'.
