The administrative back-end for news should now load up news entries for edit properly - this means you'll get non-PBK bound character dropdowns in people who've played characters that are not their own (potentially: anymore), and NPC edit boxes should show up as intended.

What still remains broken is mkdir() on new news categories. I'm not quite sure why that's erroring out - it traces the hierarchy fine, it just refuses to actually mkdir(), which suggests a permission issue.

I'll investigate some other time. Until then, if you create a new category, please let me know and I'll create the folder manually.
