The collection of slumbering avatars presented for his scrutiny seemed strewn about stylistically with no regard for any aesthetic unity. It seemed counter-intuitive that this gaggle of strangers had any relation to each other. They were clearly not Rahjin, and they were clearly no Guardians, either. "Is he your nemesis or a friend? I beg your forgiveness if we misjudged, my lord - we were scared he might be a nemesis of yours, black as night and red of eye as he is," Xandu clung nervously to his spear, gaze darting between the fallen avatars and the Guardian of Tlaloc. "Your caution is virtuous," the Guardian spoke reassuringly, gaze still drifting in scrutiny across the gaggle. He spoke slowly but surely as he continued with: "In fact, it's best if you construct a means to keep the two large black-scaled ones contained once they rouse from their slumber, until I have spoken to them. Do try to find the ones that escaped, though, they will be lost in the wilderness and may not find their way back to their group by themselves. Treat them kindly - they may still simply be guests. If they aggress you, you may kill them. If they are rude, dismissive or cruel in personality, you may restrain them, but try not to damage them." "Yes, my lord," the Rahjin gestured deferently, one hand still gripped to the spear as if it were an anchor. "Thank you, my lord." "You need not worry about these intruders, my son. I will protect you as I always have done," the Guardian waffled absent-mindedly, striding between the shapes and both dipping and tilting his muzzle toward a small sliver of viridian scales amongst the lot, a twinge of curiosity grasping at him. "Of course, Lord Tleaz - but this is unprecedented. Forgive me, I am still a bit shaken," Xandu grimaced, clearly ashamed of his own lack of composure, gaze continually jerking back to that unholy seeming black raptorian, finding him still firmly knocked out rather than arising from the haze of sedation with dark magic. "Go back to your settlement, my son, and carry my instruction with you. In the meanwhile, I will speak to this one," Tleaz informed, gently plucking Kaliya from the tangle of limbs and gesturing loosely with her held in paw. "We do not wish to anger Lycia, after all." |
